Olympic Airways Nihon YS-11

In 1970 Olympic Airways purchased the YS-11 passenger aircraft, from the Japanese manufacturer Nihon, to replace its ageing fleet of Douglas DC-3 and DC-6 aircraft used for domestic flights. The new type remained in service until 1980. That year 6 aircraft of the type were handed over to the Hellenic Air Force to start a new military career.
In kit form the YS-11 has been released in 1/72 scale by Bandai.
