Hellenic Army Aviation CH-47DG, SD and CH-47D Chinook Helicopters
The Hellenic Army Aviation uses 9 CH-47DG and 7 CH-47SD Chinook heavy lift helicopters. In 2016 deliveries of the CH-47D begun.
The CH-47DG and CH-47SD differ as they have larger fuel tanks on the sides. The CH-47SD has an extended nose, housing a weather radar.
The CH-47D has smaller fuel tanks and no radar on the nose. It also differs from the other two types in minor details.
Markings for any of these aircraft in service can be printed to order, in any scale. CH-47DG serial numbers are ΕΣ901 to ΕΣ910 and CH-47SD serial numbers are ΕΣ911 to ΕΣ917. Serial numbers for the CH-47D started at ΕΣ921.
