LMX 0071

Hellenic Army M109-based FDC

The Hellenic Army uses a unique type of FDCV (Fire Direction Centre Vehicle) based on the M109 chassis and externally very similar to the M992 FAASV (Field Artillery Ammunition Supply Vehicle). These have been in service since the late 1980's. Until recently most retained their overall CARC green finish but lately some units have started camouflaging their vehicles in the Greek 4-colour camouflage similar to the US MERDC pattern. The markings for any individual vehicle can be printed to order in any scale required.

The tactical signs and their holders used on these vehicles can be found in sets LM 72008, LM72008-2 for 1/72 scale and in sets LM 35010 and LM 35010-2  for 1/35 scale.
