Helenic Army Vickers 6-ton tanks

In 1931 Greece procured two Vickers six ton tanks. One with a single turret and one with twin turrets. These were intended to be used so as to familiarise the army with tanks and train the personnel that would man the armoured formations that were being planned at the time. The country's finances did not allow any further tanks to be purchased and these two examples featured prominently in military parades, military exercises and military coups prior to WWII. As far as is known they saw no action in WWII.
The only insignia carried was a Maltese cross on detachable plates on the sides and a, most probably a brass, icon of St. George on their glacis plate.
