T-80 "Afxentiou" Cyprus NG
During exercises the Cyprus National Guard regularly use temporary mud camouflage on vehicles. Mud is also often used to apply temporary patriotic slogans to vehicles. Among those seen with such slogans in exercise "Fiery Arrow 2020" were T-80U tanks. Painted onto the bow skirts is the name " Afxentiou", a tribute to Grigoris Afxentiou, an EOKA fighter, during the Cyprus struggle for independence. On the rear portion of the side-skirt the slogan reads "I shall return", probably alluding to the areas captured by Τurkey in 1974.
